My Anniversary

My husband and I celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary on the 21st. We are always amazed that so many years have passed by . . . I guess because we've been so happy. :) My husband surprised me with this gorgeous bouquet of roses and hydrangeas. Plus, best of all, a card he had made himself. It was wonderful!

We decided to take a ride up to the top of the mountain near our home, which we hadn't done for a long, long time. We used to go up there regularly and have picnics. There is an area at the top where you can see for miles and miles. In this picture you can see the San Francisco Peaks that are in Flagstaff (the tallest mountains in the picture) and you can see the red rocks of Sedona toward the foreground. Gorgeous, huh?

Here's my two sons doing what guys do. . .

I think my oldest son finally saw his opportunity to get rid of his younger brother once and for all. lol Seriously, I had them do this picture for fun and if you could see on the other side of the wall he's sitting on, you'd see about a 2 foot drop, so there was no danger at all. Isn't it a fun picture, though? :)

Here's another view from the picnic area we went to. The town you can sort of see at the base of the mountains is Cottonwood.

Here's my sons - they are SO handsome, aren't they?

Please don't think my hair always looks this horrible. The wind was really blowing up on the mountain and I needed a hair cut, so it's not the best picture in the world of me, but oh well. This is me and my youngest.

Here's me and my oldest son - you can really see our hair blowing, can't you?

This is my handsome hubby. He loves to goof off when we take his picture, so to get a good picture like this, is rare. I always treasure the good pictures I get of him.

Here we are - at the top of the mountain - feeling good and happy and in love after 28 years of marriage!

See - I told you he likes to goof off when we take his picture. I have several more like this. *sigh* He always has a good time and you gotta love that about him. I do.

God bless you - Julie
