Holiday Feeling

How was your Thankgiving? I pray that you had a wonderful day full of blessings!

We had a quiet day, which was very nice after the hectic schedule we've all been keeping. I had been sick for a few days before Thanksgiving and, while I felt better that day, I still wasn't completely well, but it was fine. With help from my hubby, I got the turkey and everything in the oven and we had a really great meal.

Here's the turkey in all it's golden brown lusciousness!

This turkey was 25 pounds! I had to have my oldest son lift it out of the pan and onto the platter! lol We had 4 gallon bags of left over turkey which was just fine with us. Believe it or not, it's almost gone!

Here's the table with all the yummy foods. I didn't use fancy dinnerware as I didn't want to have to wash dishes by hand after the meal. No one cared - they just enjoyed the food.

I also made a pumpkin pie and a chocolate pie. Everything came out great and all the food was enjoyed immensly by my family.

I am finally feeling okay again but was pretty weak throughout the weekend. I was never so glad as when I woke up feeling good!

I've been enjoying all the Film Noir movies they have been showing on TCM. There's nothing better than a good black & white drama. I love when I discover a new film that I haven't seen before.

I have also been crocheting (will share on Friday what I've been making), doing cross stitch, and working on Christmas felt projects. It's that time of year when I thinking about what gifts I want to make for my friends. I think I've figured it out finally and will be busy as an elf making Christmas gifts.

God bless you - Julie
