Turner Caldwell works at a
local motel as a handyman while attending college full-time. On his way to class
one day, he is shocked to see Cassandra Todd and her young son in town. The
sight of her brings back powerful memories of being bullied in high school-she
was the popular head cheerleader and he the target of her friends' mean-spirited
pranks.
When Cassandra and her son
check into the motel where he works and she asks for his help in eluding her
abusive husband, he finds himself entangled in a dangerous drama that will
require him to forgive and draw on every skill he has if they are to
survive.

MY REVIEW:
This story was so good! I started reading it and couldn't put it down...I lost a lot of sleep, actually!
This story had me captivated from page one. I have to say, I aboslutely loved Mr. Nelson's writing. He described things so beautifully, you felt as though you were actually right there with the characters.
I was on the edge of my seat as Cassandra tried to hide from her abusive husband. I immediately liked her and her son and wanted them to be safe. I felt such compassion for them. I also had such compassion for Turner as he recalled his years of being bullied.
I loved how we saw how God is in control and how we saw how He was with them as they worked to keep ahead of Cassandra's abuser. I loved how their faith in God has to strengthen as they traveled to escape him.
This book had the perfect balance of suspence, romance, and the thread of God's grace woven through it. I just loved this book and am anxious to get Mr. Nelson's other book, "Anniversary Waltz". His writing is just wonderful and I highly recommend this book!
