Book Review - 7 Steps to Knowing, Doing, and Expereincing the Will of God - For Teens

7 STEPS TO KNOWING, DOING AND EXPERIENCING THE WILL OF GOD
BY: TOM, MIKE AND DANIEL BLACKABY

ABOUT THE BOOK:

People have been making up their own gods since time began, preferring a god of the imagination over the God who created them. Bot to those who know Him, God is not dead! We don't worship a God who is absent or even distant, but present and active in our daily life.

Seven Steps to Knowoing and Doing the Will of God for Teens goes deeper than just knowing about God, it guides you to Partner with God in what He is doing all around you to make an eternal difference in this world.

Based on the world-renowned Experiencing God teaching, Tom, Mike and Daniel Blackaby (Henry Blackaby's son and grandsons) utilize cartoon illustrations, true life stories, and fresh graphics as they take an earnest, yet humorous, look at what it means for teenagers to have a vibrant personal relationship with God in their often random and challenging settings.

MY REVIEW:

I would have loved to have had this book when my sons were teenagers! In fact, I wish it had been available when I was a teenager!  It's written in a way that will captivate, yet not be condiscending, to your teen.

The first thing that captured my attention was the illustrations! They are fun and timely while still pointing you to the Lord. Here's some pictures from the inside of the book:

I really liked the color inside the book, too, as it grabs your attention to the important points and then you can refer back to them easily. The illustrations feature many of the things our teens today can relate to. I really thought that was ingenious!

At the end of each chapter, there are also some questions under the "Walking With God" section. The book provides lined journaling pages for your teen to write the answers to the questions. Here's a picture of one of the sections of questions:

I loved everything about this book! The information is Biblical, practical and written in a way that is easy to understand. I also like the Font in this book. That's important, I believe, when we're trying to reach young people. It was large, without being child-like, yet it made it really easy to read. I highly recommend this book! It's an amazing book and it will help your teen to stay grounded in the Word of God!
