Counting Our Blessings - Link Up

What an absolutely crazy week! It has been a week full of ups and downs, but always full of blessings.

166.  I had a wonderful time texting my bff the other day. She is so incredibly busy, that this is really a blessing. We don't live near each other anymore so when I get to hear from her - whether in a text or in real life, I feel so blessed! I'm so grateful for her!

167.  I was able to spend some time in my studio this week, which is always so great. It wasn't a lot of time, but I did get to make my hubby a cute, little anniversary card. He loved it!

168. Hubby and I celebrated our 32nd anniversary on Saturday. We had such a lovely day. We were going to go out for dinner but then I decided I would rather make a favorite meal for him. I made fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, creamed corn and homemade chocolate pie. It was a hit! It blesses me to bless my family and my hubby.

169.  While I was cooking, I decided to get this shelf finished off. Remember, it looked like this before...

I got tired of looking at this mess. I realized I had way too many photos on there to ever put out, so I picked out my favorites and put them on the shelf along with some Fall pumpkins. Here's the results...

I love it! I'm so thrilled with how it looks and I'm so glad to have it done. Looking at my family pictures just blesses me and I love those little pumpkins, too!

170. The downside of this week was that I hurt my foot. I have no idea what happened, but by the time I was done cooking my anniversary meal, I was hurting. On Sunday, I couldn't even walk on my foot. I cried every time I had to walk on it. I'm still hurting and in pain, but the blessing in all this is that I have a pain management doctor and nurse practitioner who care. She sent in an order for an xray on Monday afternoon so that we'll have the results at my appointment on Thursday. In the mean time, I'm staying off of it and trying not to get physically sick from the pain. I'm also very blessed to have a family that doesn't mind helping me by taking care of me, cooking and cleaning. How blessed is that? I'm so blessed!

Please share your own blessings on the link up! You can grab a button from the "Grab a Button" page and share how the Lord has blessed you this week! I love when you share and reading all about your blessings and your week!

  2. I pray that you feel better very soon also. Foot injuries are no fun : ( But the shelf looks lovely! and your idea of staying in and preparing such a comforting dinner for your husband was terrific! I'm sure he enjoyed that much more than any restaurant visit ever. Thank you for hosting your link today. Blessings to you too!
