Counting Our Blessings - Link Up

Such a busy time of year! I'm feeling that there is so much to do and so little time to do it! I finally got some of my ornaments up on the tree, but that's about as far as I got. Oh, my....just thinking how much there is left to do, can be overwhelming! That's why I think it's so important to stop and count my blessings! It gives me a sense of peace knowing how God has truly blessed me in the midst of all this hectic activity. Let's get started!

206.  We had a lovely Thanksgiving. It was quiet - just the four of us - but it was very special to spend it with my dear family. We had all the standard fare - turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole...you get the point. We had food left over for days and we all enjoyed that, too. I hope your Thanksgiving was full of blessings, too!

207.  We were very blessed last week with the gift of a new (to us) television. A lady in our church was giving it away and it's 60"! It's a huge piece of furniture, but thankfully, it fit in the corner of the room quite nicely.
(Isn't this adorable how Holly is watching the TV? She has been quite enthralled by the whole thing!)

She was also very sweet and blessed us with a surround sound DVD/CD player to go with it. My youngest son is in hog heaven watching his sports games! lol I've been enjoying watching all the Christmas shows and musicals that have been on. We are so blessed by the sweet generosity of this lady!

208.  I was able to work on some Christmas ornaments for this year. Every year, I make at least one new ornament for our tree. I've been doing this since I first got married. It's so fun to pull out these ornaments and look at the date on them and remember when I made it. I have ornaments on the tree dating back to 1981 now...it's hard to believe sometimes! What a blessing to see them all and remember!

209.  I also finished up my Thanksgiving set! I must confess it wasn't in time for my Thanksgiving table, but I did finish it! It's all put away in my cupboard to bring out next year.

Here they all are, praying before they dig into their feast. :)

Do you see that adorable bear peeking out from under the table? I guess they let him stay in his home when they made that tree into a table. lol

There's their feast! pie, peas, corn, potatoes, fruit, carrots, turkey, bread and pie! I really enjoyed working on this set and I know my family will treasure it as we pull it out each year for Thanksgiving.

I hope you've had some wonderful blessings! You can share your own on the InLinkz below!

Blessings - Julie
