Book Review - Tadeo Turtle Book and Curriculum Book

Tadeo (TAHD-ay-OH) Turtle longs to be different. Through an adventure find out how Tadeo learns to accept how God created him. About the Author: During retirement, Janis (a retired elementary schoolteacher) has learned to love writing and painting. She would love to hear from you, and can be reached via email at: Please also visit her website:, where you will find a curriculum to go along with this story.

This is an adorable book with a wonderful message! It's the perfect story to read to your very young children but is definitely geared for the first and second grader to read on his own.

As a former homeschool mom, I would have loved to have had this book and curriculum for my children. The story is delightful and emphasizes how God made us each wonderfully unique and special and we should delight in this uniqueness. I also loved the illustrations throughout as they are bright and eye-catching. This is especially nice for a child in keeping their attention.

The other wonderful thing about the book are the activities available to do in the back of the book. There is also a page of research so you can delve deeper into the life of turtles. This was a fun activity for me! :)

The curriculum goes into Math, Language, Music, Scripture Study, Science, Art, and Physical Education. I just love the creativity that the author put into this curriculum. The songs are just delightful and so easy to sing as you sing the words to well-known songs.

There is so much to this curriculum, you can definitely add to your homeschooling or Sunday school teaching and it will be a joy and a delight to the children. They will learn yet it is all very fun and thought provoking.

I highly recommend this book and the curriculum! It was just so much fun to read and I know it will delight your children as much as it did me! Remember to go to her website for more information -
