46. We had such a wonderful 4th of July. I shared about it on my Sunday Thoughts, but I am really so blessed to live where I live and be able to see the fireworks from my home. I really love the fireworks and they cheered me up so much. I'm very patriotic, too, and love my country so it's just a confirmation that I do live in a wonderful country. It was such a blessing to share this time with my family!
47. I have such a caring home-care nurses. I have two - one for my picc line and one for my wound care. Both are so sweet and very caring. They take their time and don't make me feel like I'm a total pain. I've had other nurses that do that...rush, rush, rush...and it's not a good feeling. I've been very blessed by both of these wonderful care-givers!
48. We decided to discontinue our satellite TV service and it's ended up being more of a blessing than we could have imagined! I didn't realize how much time I spent mindlessly watching the TV until we turned it off. I don't miss it one bit - in fact, I feel relieved that it's gone! I get online and put TV shows or movies on hold with my library (my hubby or sons pick them up for me) and I watch my British shows that I adore. I'm amazed how much more I'm accomplishing without just mindlessly turning on the TV. I listen to music and we have a wonderful station that plays standards. I find myself working on my Bible studies or cross stitching and just listening to the music. Who knew this would turn out to be such a blessing?
49. I had some wonderful news on my wounds when I went into the Wound Care Clinic. The wound that was operated on in June has gone from 5 1/2 cm deep to 1 1/2 cm deep! It's much smaller around, too! One of my knee wounds is completely healed and the other one almost is. Progress!! I'm so thankful that my wonderful vascular surgeon went in there and cleaned it all up and then I got on the antibiotic IV's. I can tell it's made a huge difference in my healing! What a blessing and I'm so thankful to God for all He has done!
50. I was rather down last week because I really want to paint, but I can't sit at my table anymore for more than 10 or 15 minutes without my leg swelling up like a balloon. I was pretty down about it and my son decided to do something about the whole thing. He built me a table with a swivel top that I can use at my recliner and paint or do Bible studies or have my lap top on! The base goes the opposite way of my chair as I sit in a recliner and nothing can go under it. It's absolutely perfect! Here's some pictures of it...
He's going to paint it for me next. He wanted to set it up first and make sure it was going to work - which it does - perfectly! All I have to do to get up is just swivel the top out of the way! Amazing! My youngest son is so good at making things and figuring things out...I am so blessed by his thoughtfulness and helping me. He knew I really need to paint for my well being and I'm so thankful for him. Total, total blessing!!

Blessings - Julie
I am so glad things are getting better and better for you. We got rid of satellite t.v. half a year ago and have roku. It has dramatically decreased the kids t.v. watching. I only watch about 30 minutes a week anyways, so it did not matter to me at all.
