When it comes to famous queens of the Bible, we know the good one, Queen Esther, and the bad one, Queen Jezebel. Now meet the wise one, the queen of Sheba, who traveled to Jerusalem to test the mind and heart of a king.
Her quest for wisdom will surprise you, challenge you, inspire you, change you. This wealthy royal from antiquity will show you how to live boldly, seek after truth, ask the right questions, encourage others, receive graciously, and honor the Lord above all.
Shedding new light on this ancient biblical role model, Liz Curtis Higgs unveils timeless wisdom for all who aspire to please the king of Kings.

MY REVIEW:
I was so excited to read this book. I'm such a fan of Liz Curtis Higgs and have been so blessed by her previous books. It's Good to be Queen is just as excellent as I expected!
The titles of the chapters are very revealing about what this book is about. Each one starts off with, "It's Good to Be..." then the important character qualities follow. There is Be Humbled, Be Honest, Give Generously, and my favorite, End Well. Liz goes into how important each of these qualities are and backs everything up with Scripture.
What's really neat is that each chapter begins with a fictional recollection from Queen Sheba. You get an insight to what she may have been thinking and why she sought wisdom from King Solomon. She also shares why wisdom from the living God is so important and why the Queen of Sheba made such a long trek to speak and gain wisdom from King Solomon.
I have been studying the Old Testament and I loved how Liz just brings this alive! Yes, the Bible is full of real stories of real people and there's no one better than her at bringing them to life for us. She gets into all the little details that breathes life into a Bible story such as this one.
This book really made me understand how vital it is to seek wisdom through God's Word. How all wisdom comes from Him and that our lives will be so much richer when we really know and follow the Lord. I just loved this book and highly recommend it! I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
