Book Review - A Love Transformed by Tracie Peterson

ABOUT THE BOOK:

When her husband, Adolph, dies suddenly, Clara Vesper is stunned. Not grief-stricken, as their marriage had never been a love match, but staggered by what might become of her and her children. For years she designed the sapphire jewelry that made her husband's company a fortune, but she has little money in her own name and soon discovers that she has inherited nothing. Fearing for the welfare of her two small children, she decides to take them to her aunt and uncle's ranch in Montana, the only place she has ever been happy.

But much has changed since she last visited the Montana ranch, both for Clara and for those she was forced to leave behind. And when dangerous secrets from her late husband's past threaten everyone she loves, Clara must fight to remain where she can fulfill her dreams.

MY REVIEW:

This is the third book of the Sapphire Bride series. I have enjoyed the series so much and this book is no exception. You don't need to have read the other books to enjoy this one because they do stand alone, however, you'll definitely want to read the first two!

Clara is a young woman, from New York, who was basically forced into a marriage with a man with wealth even though her heart wasn't in it. When he is murdered, she finds herself free to make different choices for herself and her children. The only place she ever truly felt happy was when she visited her aunt and uncle in Montana. So, she packs herself and her children up to go after her happiness.

When she arrives in Montana, her childhood sweetheart, Curtis, is staying with them while he recovers from an accident. Curtis never got over the loss of Clara when her mother whisked her home before he could propose. He has a sense of remorse over things he has chosen to do in his life and has a hard time accepting that God truly has forgiven him.

When her brother-in-law shows up demanding she come back to New York, things are revealed about her husband and their business that she didn't know. There is one sinister things after another. The mystery alone will keep you turning the pages to see what happens, let alone the beautiful romance storyline.

My favorite thing about Tracie Peterson books is how she makes faith such a vital part of these peoples lives. She always shows God's love and forgiveness for his people and it's all so realistic and well written. In fact, everything about this book is well written!

I highly recommend this book and think that you will enjoy it. It has the romance but also the intrigue and mystery that makes the storyline so fantastic! I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
