Counting Our Blessings - LinkUp!

It's time to count our blessings! I hope you've had a lot of blessings this week.

As promised, here are more pictures from my trip

38. As I shared before, my Dad received recognition for 65 years in his industry. At the ceremony he received a certificate and this pin

Here he is on stage for the ceremony

39. My Dad also has volunteered at his Union Hall for over 17 years! Recently, he decided to retire from this full time volunteer work and they honored him with this plaque.

I could tell this meant so much to him. He still is out there cutting the grass once a week, which he loves doing, but how wonderful that they acknowledge his service with this framed piece!

40. Here's a few more things I purchased while at the stitching shop I went to on my trip. My Mom helped me pick these out and they are so beautiful! I can't wait to start them.

I picked the bottom one for the Columbines because it's the state flower of Colorado, where I'm from. The one with the cactus represents where I live now in Arizona. The others, I just love! lol

41.  We didn't get home from our trip in time to celebrate Mother's Day so we did it on Saturday a week ago. We had such a wonderful day and I wanted to stay here and cook out and enjoy my family. My son did the grilling and I made these side dishes...yummy!

Pasta salad, potato salad and baked beans!

My family got me this beautiful cake

and this amazing gift...

This is a full length mirror on the outside and then a place for my jewelry and pictures on the inside! Isn't it amazing?

We sat on the deck together - my husband with Cookie and my oldest son...

and Mitzi was totally relaxed! lol

Although, she kept going over to the flowers to smell them and check them out.

All in all, it was a wonderful Mother's Day! The best!

Thank you so much for coming by to visit! I hope you'll join in on the linkup below!

  1. So nice to see more from your trip Julie. Your cross stitch charts are so pretty. I had no idea you are from Colorado.
