A Little Update

I wanted to share an update on my Elizabeth II cross stitch project. I've enjoyed working on this piece so much and can't wait to start adding more color. I do love the castle, though, and how it's really looking like the palace.

I've had a lot going on lately and am always looking for bright spots and blessings. I've been needing new slippers and, while shopping at WalMart, I found these silly things...

Can you stand it? I also got some unicorn slippers, which I will model for you soon. I love things that make me smile and these slippers definitely do that! You should see the back of them - there's even a wee, curly tail! lol

This really made me happy!

We have peaches from our own tree!! We have had this tree for fifteen years with never a peach but this year, this little tree outdid itself and provided all these lovely peaches. I have already made a peach crisp for my family from the peaches in the box. I am going to be freezing the other peaches as there is not enough to can this year. I'll prepare them for pies and crisps and can just pull them out of the freezer when I need them. It was quite exciting to have it finally give us peaches!

Blessings - Julie
