Book Review - In Too Deep

ABOUT THE BOOK:

When the Carrington County Sheriff's Office dive team is called in to recover a body from a submerged car, they aren't prepared to find an encrypted laptop--or an unsettling connection between investigator Adam Campbell and the dead accountant.

Adam turns to his friend Dr. Sabrina Fleming to recover the files from the laptop. But the deeper they dig, the deadlier the investigation becomes. When evidence implicates members of Adam's own family, he and Sabrina will have to risk everything to solve the case.

The truth could set hundreds free--but someone is willing to do whatever it takes to silence anyone who threatens to reveal their secrets.

MY REVIEW:

This book had me up late in the night reading! It has everything I love in a book - a mystery I couldn't figure out and wonderful characters that I really cared about that tried to live out their faith in real, tangible ways.

When a woman is found in the river dead, she has a message to Adam Campbell from beyond the grave that has everyone on edge and in fear for their lives. Adam is a dive team member of the Carrington County Sheriff's Office and he is working with Dr. Sabrina Fleming to figure out what message the woman in the river has left behind on her computers and other technology. They are working close on this situation and becoming more and more attached to each other.

There is so much action to this book with one scary incident after another. I was never sure who was behind it all. I thought I knew who the bad guy was but I was totally wrong and I loved that I was! It was really a very complex story with lots of twists and turns I never expected.  I also enjoyed knowing more about how the diving team works with law enforcement. There is a nice romantic story line along with the mystery so I enjoyed that, too. The faith aspect was very realistic and I enjoyed how they depended on God in their lives.

This is one of the best books I've read this year! It kept me intrigued from the first to last page and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a great mystery/romance. I give it 5 out of 5 stars. It's a must read for those quiet nights by the fire or cuddled up in bed.
