My Studio

Remember my studio? We were gifted with a shed and the inside was unfinished, but my youngest son finished it off and then both my son's painted it. (I helped a little with the painting, but it was very little because of my back and knee problems).

Well, here it is with all my things inside. This is my painting area. I do tole/decorative painting and watercolor painting here. Those are my racks of acrylic paint and a work in progress on the table. I love my painting table in front of that window where I look out over the gorgeous mountains, the bird feeder and hummingbird feeder I have set up outside. Did you also notice the purple curtains that I made for over the windows? I've had that fabric for almost 20 years! It came from the craft store my hubby and I used to own many years ago and I loved that fabric so much, I took the bolt when we closed the store. See - it came in handy!!

That's my sewing machine (under the cover) that I've had for about 22 years and I absolutely love it! I have never had one problem with that machine and it continues to sew like a dream. This is where I do my sewing (obviously) and quilting. I also have a chair that I can sit in and just relax. I'm embarrassed to say that I have actually tilted back in that chair and fallen asleep! It's nice and quiet and relaxing in my little Studio and when you're tired, it's easy to do. Notice, my sweet Sammy is sitting at the foot of that chair. He always goes with me to the little Studio.

Please don't look at the clutter on my cubes. Since these pictures have been taken the clutter has been put away. However, I just had to show you these cubes. My mother-in-law bought me all these for my birthday about 4 years ago when I had my craft room inside the house. It was one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me. It allowed me to put everything away and organize it and have it look nice. I still love them! They came from Oriental Trading Company and they are wonderfully made and hold a lot!

Across from these cubes is my stamping area, but for some reason I don't have a picture of that. I will try and get one taken soon and share it. I'll also take an up-to-date picture so you can see it without all the clutter. :)

I hope you've enjoyed seeing the final results of the studio. What a total blessing this is and I'm thankful for it every day!!

God bless you - Julie

  4. The idea of a studio where you can go to be creative is a great one. The purple curtains add a nice touch also.
By the way, that is the best looking turkey indeed :)
