141. I worked on my family room this week and did get quite a bit done! I still have a lot left to do, but now I'm seeing the changes and it's propelling me on. I love how I'm seeing my house become a home of comfort. I'm so very thankful for the blessing of my home!
142. As I stated, I still have quite a few areas to do, but now it's down to just putting the little stuff away or purging it all together. I look at that as more fun, though, so it's not as hard on me. Here's another photo of the book area...
I'm still trying to decide if I want that picture that's on the floor in one of the rooms. It's not really my style any longer, yet I really like the colors and it's a nice painting. I have it there to keep looking at until I decide.
Next to the book shelves, I put a smaller shelf with the TV on top. I tilted it to face into the seating area of the room. It sort of separates the reading area from the other area. I need to finish getting the cords well hidden and so forth, but it's in place.
The shelf looks cluttered because I just stacked all our family photos there for the time being. You can see how I turned the shelf into the other part of the room here.
I took some pictures of Muffy standing before the window. All the dogs love standing or sitting in the window and looking out.
Again, I need to hide the cable wire that's running in front of the window. All in due time! What a blessing to have TV, though, and to also please my doggies by opening up this area for them!
143, I'm quite sure I shared the blessing of this turn-table/CD player, cassette player, and radio when my son bought it for me. I think I've had it for about a year and a half and I love it! I wanted to put it in this room so we could sit and listen to music and read. Here it is on top of my old Singer sewing machine cabinet.
I haven't finished putting all my little touches on the shelf or getting my perpetual calendar set up yet, but it's so wonderful to have all this back up again! I feel blessed every time I look at it!
144, Here's a picture of my front windows. They are bay windows and I love sitting there and looking out. You can see my candle sticks I've had forever, too. They need a good shining, but again, that's for another day.
It's such a blessing to look out my windows and see all the trees that my husband has planted and nurtured through the years. You can kind of see the bird bath, as well. We get a lot of birds here and they love to come and drink and bathe. Since I love bird watching so much, it's a blessing to have the trees, bird bath and feeders to enjoy out front!
145. Now for the poodles! This is for Vickie! this is a very small sample of my poodle collection. Please don't look at the dust that has accumulated in my china cabinet! I was horrified when I saw it all! Bleah! Again, another project for another day! lol I love my little poodles - both figurines and real - and when I do clean out my cabinet, I will do a proper showing of them. I have my favorites, of course, but honestly I love them all. They have been such a blessing - especially my real poodles!
146, Now for the couch area. How do you like where I put my clock? It's a beautiful Grandmother clock that my hubby gave me long ago. I saw someone do this in a magazine and I love it! You can enjoy it without having it take up a lot of space on another wall.
I will probably move my thimble cabinet that is next to he clock, however, that's going to be kind of a big project because it must be in a stud. I'll have to have my son hang this on another wall as it seems a bit close to the clock here. It's not horrible, though, so I will just leave it for now. It blesses me so to see all my roses! They are even on the clock face! (Here's another picture of the pictures above the couch).
147. Now for a huge blessing! I'm going to my sleep study tonight! Yippee!! Please pray that they do find that I do have sleep apnea. I have been so tired and really, half sick, for so long. If this is what is wrong with me and it can be fixed, I will be so grateful and blessed!! I have waited for this test for over 5 weeks and I almost can't believe tonight is the night! I'm all packed and ready to go and am praying I fall asleep fast, that my problem crops up immediately so they can fit me with the proper mask tonight. I'm so grateful for your prayers, as well!!
Now it's your turn to share your blessings! You can grab a button on the sidebar (if you want, this is not mandatory!) and then share on your own blog what blesses you. I can't wait to read your blogs this week!
Blessings - Julie
