Counting Our Blessings - Link Up!

Blessings, blessings, blessings!! So many blessings this week - my cup overflows!

179.  My hubby's birthday was last week, but it fell on a day that my oldest son had to work so we decided to celebrate on the weekend when he was home. It was a really nice day. I made my hubby's favorite meal of chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes & gravy, and mixed veggies. I also ordered a special cake for him. His favorite thing is white cake with white butter cream frosting, so I always try and order it special for him since he usually only has it once a year. The morning of our celebration I sent my oldest son to get the cake and he came home with a look on his face that a mother knows. Something had happened that wasn't good. Take a look...

My son took his pug with him to go and pick up the cake. Can you guess what happened? LOL Yep - the pug decided to step on the cake box - with all her weight. I was rather disappointed, but honesty, not upset. These things happen and we all agreed that at least she stepped on the BOX and not the CAKE! I just smeared the frosting back in place as good as I could and all was well. My hubby didn't mind a bit. Here he is with his cake.

Having such a wonderful birthday celebration for my hubby was such a blessing!

180. My hubby really wanted a new wallet for his birthday so my sons and I went to the mall to look for one. I had to be oh-so-careful about how much I walked around on all that cement, but I did okay! Blessing! We found the perfect wallet and then I decided I needed to sit down outside for a bit to rest my foot and knees. They sat across from me and I snapped this photo.

Those are their new hats they found and bought while we were shopping for the wallet. I know I'm their mom, but look at those handsome faces! I was so blessed to have them go with me to the mall!

181. After we rested for a bit, we went back in to Bath & Body Works. I had seen something so cute on Vickie's blog that I had to have!! I was hoping and praying that they still had them and after much digging around, I found one! Here it is!

Is that not the cutest things ever?! It holds hand sanitizer and I will clip it to my purse. Cute, cute, cute!! I was so blessed to find one at the bottom of the bin and I just love this little pink poodle!

182.  They were having a big sale at Bath & Body Works. I was really hoping that they had their Peppermint scented things in but, alas, it was too early. My other favorite scent is Moonlight Path. I looked at some things, but decided that I really couldn't afford to get anything. The next thing I know, my sons are picking out all kinds of things for me and paying for it! Oh, my. I have tears in my eyes just thinking about how sweet this is! Here's what they bought me

I'm so thrilled! There's body butter, perfume, body spray, body lotion and bath gel. How incredibly generous my sons are and how blessed I am!

183.  I finally got to see the sleep apnea doctor and we now know what's happening with me. I had times when I stopped breathing for over 50 seconds and, the really scary thing to me, is that my oxygen levels went down to 72% for over 4 hours! Brain cells are dying at that point, people! (This could explain a lot! LOL) Anyway, he wrote my prescription for the machine and I will, hopefully, have it by the end of the week. This is such a huge blessing! I didn't realize that I was so bad but I'm so thankful that my doctor sent me for the test and that this may help me with all the health issues I've been having.

184.  I have been in my studio painting and drawing. I have this small snippet to share of what I'm working on. It's at the very beginning stages and I don't show the whole design (since I'm a craft designer, I've learned the hard way not to show stuff until it's been published) but it may give you an idea of what I'm doing.

I know it doesn't show you much, but I wanted to share anyway. I've been doing a lot of drawing and am just amazed how many ideas I have! It's exciting and I'm happier than I've been in a long time. God is so good to open this door for me again and for leading me in a new direction. I am so blessed!

Now it's your turn! Share your blessings on the link up below. You can grab a button from the "Grab My Button" page at the top. I'm always so blessed by your comments and your link-ups. Thank you!

Blessings - Julie
