MY REVIEW:
This book is full of intrigue, mystery, and corruption! From the beginning, you're aware that something is very wrong in this town and that it's going to be a crazy ride as you read through this story. Sad, sick, and just evil are some of the words I would use about the wrong doing and cover-ups that are in this story.
Jack is an investigative reporter that has heard about people getting sick in the town from the factory in town, but it's really only when his mechanic gets sick that he really starts to investigate. As he starts digging through everything and investigating, he starts to see how truly deep the cover-ups are. If you enjoy stories of big companies feeling they have so much power over the town where they employ the people, that they are untouchable, you'll enjoy this one. It's wonderful to see the "little people" exposing the corruption!
There are some wonderful characters in this book that I really enjoyed. There's also a wonderful underlying faith journey that includes the struggle with forgiveness and how it affects relationships.
This is a second book of a series, however, I wasn't lost at all regarding the story line and, in fact, it just made me want to read the first book because I enjoyed this one so much. I believe you'll just love this book as much as I did!
