Counting Our Blessings - LinkUp!

What a week!! A week of blessings to be sure! I am a wee bit late in getting this posted because I'm just pooped!! In any case, lets get started with counting our blessings!

54.  The main blessing is my youngest son's graduation.Oh, my...it was so amazing and I was so thrilled that I could be there. There were over 300 graduates and that's a lot for our college here. It was so exciting to see so many people - young and old - getting their diplomas. So much excitement in that auditorium!

Here's a picture of my son and his friends who all graduated with the same degree. They all look so happy, don't they? They all became such good friends through the years they studied together.

Here's a picture of my son and his other friend who joined us for the festivities. She is also in their graduate course but won't be graduating for another couple of years.

Afterward, we went to a pizza place downtown that we all really like and celebrated. Here's some pictures from our great time there.

I am so, so blessed by such a great family and we had such a wonderful time of celebration!!

55. One of the things I love to do but haven't been able to do is go to the movies because of my leg, but guess what? I've gone to two movies and it's been great! The first one I went to see was this great classic

Do you know how amazing it was to see this on the big screen? We had a special showing at our theater and my youngest son and I went to see it.

Then my oldest son and I went to see this fantastic movie in 3-D together

This movie was so good! If you get a chance to see it, do! I love Captain America and the storyline in this movie was so good and the special effects were amazing. I would definitely go see this movie again - it was that good.

Of course, all this running around and doing all this stuff has wrecked havoc with my leg and I'm paying a bit of a price for all my fun, but you know what? It's worth it! I am so happy to be out there living again! I will baby my leg for a few days, use my machine on it and get it back in shape.

56.  One last blessing is getting help from my doctor with the nausea I was having from my knee shots. Oh, I'm telling you, it was the pits. He gave me some medicine that helped me so much and it was in the nick of time as I was able to celebrate with my son without being sick. Blessing!!

How was your week? I hope it was packed full of blessings like mine! If you had a tough week, remember, there are always blessings and the pathway to joy is to focus on them and praise God for them. Please share your own blessings in on the linkup or in the comments! As always, I'm so thankful for you!!

  1. I am so abundantly blessed, too, sweet friend. Even in the valley, God is good, as the song says. Our hearts are so heavy, and at the same time, we rejoice in God's wonderful blessings to us and all of the answers to prayer He has brought into our lives. I am so thankful you had a nice time celebrating with your family and that you were able to be with them and not be sick. What a blessing that was for you. Congratulations to your son upon his graduation, and God bless you all!
