MY REVIEW:

This is such a delightful book! It's a devotional that starts on December 1st and keeps you focused on the true meaning of Christmas!

Each day starts with a Scripture to meditate on and then goes into a wonderful devotion. Each one is more of a delightful story that focuses on Jesus. The author shares facts about different things, too, that I found really interesting. For instance, I always wondered about why we would see Christmas as Xmas. He explains that the X is the first letter of Christ's name in Greek so people would use the "X" as a symbol on their doors that they were Christian. Many people couldn't read so seeing the "X" signified Christianity. This was so interesting and I understand this practice now. There are many such interesting stories and facts like this throughout the book but each and every one focuses on the Lord.

Each day also has the lyrics of a song we associate with Christmas and the story behind the song. I love music so I really enjoyed this part of each day. I learned so much about some of my very favorite songs. Then to make each day even more delightful, the author shares a recipe or an idea for making something for someone you care about. There are some great ideas and some fantastic recipes included in this book!

I love this book and intend to read it again for December as my devotional. I love how it keeps me focused on Jesus and the real reason for Christmas. I highly recommend this book! I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
