MY REVIEW:
This is a very encouraging book. It is the life story of the two authors, Rachael Myers and Amanda Williams. They are younger women than myself, however, their stories and their faith are amazing! I really love the tag line of the title - "Holding Tight to Permanent in a World That's Passing Away". This perfectly encompasses what this book is about.
The first part of the book is basically a memoir of the authors. The things they have encountered in their lives and how the Lord has gotten them through every situation. The faith they have held tight to is the main theme of the entire book but we especially see it as they recount their stories.
This is a book that I enjoyed because the authors didn't try to sugar coat their lives or their faith. They are honest and open so it makes you really relate to them. I felt like they would understand the hardships I have been through and wouldn't judge me for the few times my faith has been a struggle.
This is a book that I highlighted extensively and it will also be a book I re-read. I feel like I would gain even more by reading it again. I love that it points only to God's Word for truth and strength. It's a great book and I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
