When Jesus Was a Green-Eyed Brunette weaves heartwarming and miraculous stories of Jesus showing up in ordinary people, revealing that He knows us and is fully present in our everyday circumstances, especially in our difficulties.
Those hurting and weary from worn-out religion are longing for a fresh touch from the living Jesus. Best-selling author Max Davis challenges us to do more than simply receive God’s grace—we need to allow grace to soften, change, and shape us. As you read this book you will laugh, cry, and come face-to-face with the living Jesus, much like Davis did, when he found Him living in a green-eyed brunette.
As Davis puts it, “Jesus is very much alive today and still does incredible things—sometimes supernatural things—through us!”

MY REVIEW:
This is an uplifting book, perfect for anytime but especially this time of year! Don't be put off by the title - it makes total sense when you read the book and realize what it means. It's part of the light-hearted humor of the author.
I love the story of his encounter with the lady in the coffee aisle and how her light from the Lord drew him in and changed him forever. This inspired me to remember that others are watching and I never know when a chance encounter with someone could be the tool the Lord uses to draw someone close to Him.
Max is so open and honest in this book and he makes you feel like you are not alone in your struggles. He always points to the Word of God as our compass and I really like how his stories are easy to read yet powerful.
This is a great book and I enjoyed each and every page. I highly recommend it as it will change how you see your place in the world and how we need to shine our light. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
