ABOUT THE BOOK:

Intrigued by the work, and the charming hardware store owner, she's hopeful for a fresh chance at love-until a surprise visit from her ex-boyfriend turns everything upside down

MY REVIEW:

Melody Carlson is a favorite author of mine because she always writes an uplifting story that makes me feel better as I'm reading and when that last page is read. The Happy Camper is absolutely another wonderful feel-good story.

Dillon is the main character and I absolutely loved her. She has such a sweet heart and yet I like that she takes care of  herself, too.  When we first meet her, she has an epiphany moment and, throughout the story, I love how we see her consider her own feelings as well as that of others.

I have always thought the vintage trailers were so cute and I love how they play a central part in this story. It was so fun watching Dillon fix up the trailer her grandfather gives her and the enthusiasm she has for it. It also opens the door to her meeting someone special - Jordon. He's the owner of the local hardware store but also has a passion for vintage trailers.

Add in an eccentric mother (Dillon's) and other people trying to throw a monkey wrench into things and you have a story that keeps you glued to the pages as well as the edge of your seat. I also enjoy that Melody always shares the love of God with her readers and that pretty much makes this the perfect story to enjoy. I give this book 5 stars!
