Catching up

Things have been so busy here and there is so much I wanted to share with you all so. . . I decided to take the next few days and bring you up to date with what's been going on with me.

In September, my sister and her husband came to visit us. They travel more now that my brother-in-law is retired and my sister works part-time. I'm always so grateful and happy that they always try to come by to visit us when they are anywhere near us - even when it's a couple of hundred miles! I'm very blessed!!

Here's a picture of my beautiful sister and me.

We always have such a good time together and have lots of laughs.

September was also the month my physical therapist hurt me and created a herniated disc. Needless to say, I haven't been back there since and I'm still dealing with the pain. I have a lot of people praying for me, though, and I know that things will get better. I try to always remember that the Lord is growing me through these hard seasons. There was a time in my life when I basically would have curled up in a ball and just let this get me down, but I don't do that now. Yes, I have days when I feel sorry for myself when the pain is horrible, but these days are far and few between and it's totally because I have the Lord in my life! It's hard to be in pain every day, all day long, but I try to focus on my blessings and take it to the throne of the Lord. It definitely helps!

My studio got completely set up (thanks to my wonderful sons!) and I'm anxious to get started working in there. I now have a place where I can work on all my different creative pursuits with glee! My oldest son laid a patio outside the studio where I can sit and enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains, birds and other wildlife we have around here. It really is heaven on earth for me and a dream come true. I can't thank my mother-in-law, my husband, or my sons enough. It was truly the gift of a lifetime!

September was also the month of my 28th wedding anniversary! That's for another post, though. . . .

God bless you - Julie

  1. Looks like you all had a good time.Sorry to hear that you are hurting, I'll pray for you also. I know this can cause pain, right now I have a pinched nerve in my spine, and it runs down my arm. Please pray for me also.
Thanks for stoping by, and leaving such a nice comment. When I coached football, the smaller ones most of the time were my team leaders, they just had more fire for the game. Tell your son to look at his coach and tell him, coach, I might not be as big as you would like, but I come with a big heart, and theres nothing I can't do, but tell him to do it in the heart of love. God bless you
