Guardian Angel Working Overtime

I believe that my angel has been working overtime for the past few weeks.  There has definitely been a lot of spiritual warfare going on and a lot of attacks from satan and his minions.  I really believe if satan can't come at you one way, he'll come at you another.  He looks for our weaknesses and creates distractions that take our eyes from our Lord.  Trust me when I tell you that he knows where we are weak (things that we believe we have under control)and uses them against us.  In fact, he has been attacking me in an area where I felt sure and certain that I would never be tempted or tried again because I "had it under control" and wouldn't have an issue with it ever again.  These can even be things that haven't been an issue in your life for years and years and suddenly it will rear it's ugly head again and you'll find yourself banging your head against the wall wondering how in the world you got here again.  I believe with my whole heart that because satan couldn't turn me against my Lord through my pain, he decided to go around and try something else entirely different.  It's been all I could do to just hang on and beg the Lord to help me and protect me.  It's been a difficult few weeks and I'm still not out of the woods yet, but I know that my God is faithful and his grace is sufficient and that I will be protected and come out of this stronger and more in love with Him than ever before.

My pain is back to almost where it was when I first injured it. I won't go into all the details since for the past few months, you've heard it all.  It's very discouraging and I am coming to the realization that when they tell you at least 2 years for the herniated discs to recover, they aren't kidding and I must face it.

We had some work done on the house last week.  Our kitchen island plugs had not been working since the refrigerator leaked from the water line and created a huge mess under our floor.  The line went from the wall near the fridge, under the floor and over to the island.  To be without those plugs has been miserable and my husband said that we really needed to have them looked at.  When our service man started looking into things, what he found made the hair stand up on my head.  The refrigerator had nothing to do with the line shorting out but a wire that had been stripped when the house was built had been catching fire and smoking!! The only reason we hadn't had a fire is because it was tripping the breaker when it was getting so hot! Of course, my belief is that the Lord was protecting us! Why in the world when they stripped that wire they didn't replace it, I can't be sure but it makes me wonder if there are any other problems like that in my home.  I am so thankful that this issue was found and fixed.  He didn't finish the work because it ended up being more than we realized, but he will be back to finish up this next week and then I'll have my island plugs working again.  Hallelujah!  We also had him put the a/c unit into the wall in my MIL room.  Last year we had it in the window and that turned into a complete fiasco, with her continually turning it off and on and changing the temperature all the time.  I decided we just couldn't go through that again this year and asked my hubby to have it put in the wall.  It's high enough she can't reach it and we can control it with a remote control and keep it comfortable in there.  So far, it's working beautifully.  He also fixed my kitchen lights which is a huge blessing...they haven't been working right for quite a while and it's so nice to have them working right and coming on when you flip the switch.  Before, we were never sure if we would get light or not.  It turned out to be an easy fix, so that was great, too.

The NBA finals are on, so I'm going to sign off.  :)

God bless you - Julie
