Hot Weather!

It's been so nice here for weeks and then suddenly yesterday it got
So much so, that I had to turn on the air-conditioning. I can't remember the last time I had to turn it on this early in the year. I hope this isn't a preview of the temperatures were going to have this summer, but I'm afraid it will be. All I can say is, thank goodness for air conditioning!!

I've been working a lot for hubby. Yesterday I spent the day getting advertising stuff ready. I worked on it last week, too, and when all was said and done, I was one happy girl that it was finally completed! Next month should be easier as I have it all organized now. I need to work on his website today and do some filing, but am hoping to spend some time doing other things today, too.

I'm working on my counted cross stitch again. I'm doing a really cute project by Little House Needleworks. I found these cute kits down in the big city when I was there the last time. I actually wasn't really very impressed with them because the pictures on the front of the kit are digital.

However, the owner of the shop showed me a couple of the projects she had just completed and they were just wonderful! I'm very pleased with how it's looking so far.

The really pretty thing about this is the Crescent Color threads that you stitch this with. They are hand dyed threads and you can see the different shades within the stitching as you go. It almost makes it look like the old threads you see in the antique pieces. I'm really enjoying this project and it's pretty fast, too. I like that it has a Christian theme, too. I have a couple other kits from this company that have scripture on them and I'm anxious to do those, too.

My crochet projects are on hold right now as it's so hot I can't stand to work with yarn. The weight and heat are too much. I may do some crochet with thread soon, but I'm so enjoying my cross stitch, I don't feel like doing the crochet right now.

I'm still working on projects for my online store. I have a little pile of things I'll be putting on there for sale soon. I'll be sure and announce the Grand Opening when it happens!

God bless you ~ Julie

  1. Hi Julie,
Thanks for the tip on the cross-stitch, they are beautiful and very sweet. I will have to go visit their site. I am currently working on a cross-stitch project, LOL I started this 15 years ago, I had 1/3 of it done, and after all of these years I've decided to finish it. "The fruits of the Spirit"
    Have a wonderful day,
    ((((hugs))))
