Okay, I know we ALL have the same 24 hours in the day, but I'm telling you, someone is shorting me! I don't know where all my time goes. Granted, I didn't do much of anything over the weekend except counted cross stitch (I finished my project - pictures to be posted soon) and I worked on my son's felt Christmas stocking. I like working with the felt, but honestly, my heart wasn't in it and I didn't seem to get much done on it even though I spent hours working on it! It was really nice having a quiet weekend, though. I also spent many hours watching the Olympics. Very exciting seeing all our wonderful athletes!
Today I had to get up really early and go for my first physical therapy for my back. I am doing water therapy and even though it didn't feel like it was doing much when I was doing it, I'm certainly feeling it now!! After that, I went to my favorite thrift store to check around. I found a beautiful teal leather bible for 99 cents! Yippee!! I couldn't believe it. I think the only reason it wasn't gone was because I found it in the education section and not the Christian section. It's just beautiful and I have added another bible to my growing collection. I love bibles and have collected them for years and years. My younger son does, too. I love having a new bible to browse through and I also have extras to give away. It's the best gift you can give anyone!
I was so sore when I got home, I got the heating pad out and sat with it for awhile. I did get a little housework done later, but that was it! I didn't get any of my homeschooling organization done (as planned) or my new schedule started for the school year. *sigh* I guess I'm going to have to tell myself to go with the flow while I'm doing this therapy and accept that I may not get everything done that I think I can while getting better. I really am so thankful for this therapy and the therapist assures me that we can strengthen my back. I'm praying so. Sometimes, the pain is unbearable.
Speaking of sore, my youngest son came dragging home from football practice tonight. He said they did somersaults forward and backward with their uniforms on. They also did a lot of other things that just wore him out. I had to laugh when my son told me one of his teammates went up to his Dad and said, "Why did we do all those somersaults? Are we going to go up to the line of scrimmage and do somersaults?" LOL I was picturing this in my mind. It might really throw the other team off if they did! LOL
Off to bed. I'm so tired and sore. Hopefully, tomorrow my full 24 hours will return to me. I won't ask questions about where it's been, I'll just thankfully accept them back.
God bless you ~ Julie

LOL, this is what I have been asking my self lately. Where has time gone????
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see your cross-stich. I haven't had the time to finish mine at all this summer. I can't wait until winter, so I can hibernate ;o)
((((hugs))))

Ouch! Hope you feel better soon! I have chronic pain issues myself and know that it isn't fun at all. HUG
ReplyDeleteThank goodness I'm not dealing with back pain, Julie, but I tell you...I'm pretty sure I'm dealing with carpal tunnel and I'm pretty sure it's all these Santa stars I'm making combined with crocheting every night, on baby afghans. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI'm actually dropping in to congratulate you. You won my book giveaway. So if you'll email me with your mailing information, I'll put Beyond the Night in the mail to you tomorrow.
