Variety of Thoughts

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I spent the weekend in pain. I'm actually going to the doctor this week to be checked.  This is not just arthritis pain - it's my herniated disc again.  My pain is so bad, I'm having a hard time sleeping and functioning.  So, off to the doctor we go.

On a brighter note, I'm still working on my new plans for my blog.  I'm siting in the recliner with my laptop (thanks, honey, for my laptop 5 years ago!!) and working on this new plan of action.  I've also been working on my husband's business site and he has a new blog, too!  More to come on all this.  I'm hoping to have everything up and implemented by next week.

I finished my latest Elizabeth George book.  It was good, although a little long towards the end.  My sweet, older son went to the library today and found me some in the sale area for very little! Yes!! It's so nice that he thinks of his Mama.

Have you watched that new show, "Mike and Molly"?  I am really enjoying it.  It's nice to see some people like me (pleasantly plump-lol) who are carrying on real life in real relationships with people!  I mean, really, it's about time!  I also like it because the Grandmother in the show talks about church and Jesus! It's about time, people.  Now mind you, there's still some raunchy comments at times, because lets face it, they just don't know how to do shows anymore without raunchy comments.  However, there's more good in this show than bad and I'm hoping it stays that way!  Maybe they'll see my blog post and even clean it up somewhat!  It could happen! Yeah. . .okay moving on.

Tomorrow night we are back at our Ladies Bibles study and I'm so glad.  I really missed it last week.  It was nice having the time off because of my back, but I really missed getting together with everyone and getting into God's Word together.  I love it because God really does open our eyes in different ways and shows us each, individually, what he wants us to see.  When we all get together, it's so amazing to see what God reveals to us and that opens up His Word to us even more.  I'm looking forward to our time together again.

God bless you - Julie

  1. Oh, I know what you are talking about! I did nothing this weekend because I was hurting so much. This constant pain is a real downer. Yesterday the Rheumatologist told me I def have fibro and osteoarthritis. Well, at least I have answers to why I hurt so bad, but not sure I am happy with the diagnose. Last night we went to dinner with another couple and the a/c was turned up so high that by the time we got up to leave, I could hardly walk. The other couple with us...he also has arthritis and was really stiff. We both agreed thata we were looking forward to our heavenly bodies where we would have no pain!

I haven't watched Mike and Molly yet. I will have to check it out.

    Have a wonderful week.

    Hugs,

    Sue
