Book Review - Life Without Limits

Life without Limits by Nick Vujicic

This book was high on my list of books I wanted to read as I have been so inspired by Nick Vujicic.  He is a wonderful man of God who lives his life without limits ... and without limbs!

Nick takes us into his world and gives us a real look into what his childhood was like, how his parents felt having their first child born without arms and legs, and the things he has dealt with throughout his life.  Nick doesn't sugar-coat anything and you'll find yourself in tears many times, but then laughing out loud at his wonderful sense of humor.  It's just a very real book.

The greatest thing I came away with was his strong faith in the Lord and how he is able to do so much because of his faith.  I also felt a little shame when I'm feeling whiny because of my own physical limitations.  Nick does so much for the Lord in spite of, and even because of, his physical limitations.

All in all, the book was as inspiring as I knew it was going to be and it was a great read.  I highly recommend this book as it will strengthen your faith in the Lord and inspire you to do more for Him.

  5. I'm so sorry that you have had a bad day. It must be horrible to lose control of your home to your MIL. I've read your posts about her and you are really brave to have let her stay this long. Can she not go to a nursing home or is this something that your husband doesn't want? Let's pray together about changing this woman's heart. God can do it.

Lord, I ask you right now in the name of Jesus to be with Julie's MIL. Lord, I ask that you soften her heart towards Julie. Remove her hardened heart and let he be able to show love towards others. Let her use kind words and a softer tone of voice. I also ask that you be with Julie. You know how hard it is for her, Lord. Give her wisdom to know what to do when things are bad. Give her peace and help her make right decisions. Thank You for what you are going to do in Julie's MIL, Lord. Thank You that you are going to make Julie's house peaceful for all who live there. Amen.
