About the book: Gabby's Stick-to-It-Day
Gabby is a little guardian angel with a big job to do! Watching over Sophie is hard work, but Gabby knows that God wants her to stick to it.
Gabby, God’s Little Angel, flies to the rescue as Sophie attempts to help others but has a little trouble sticking with things. Sophie tries to be helpful by washing the family dog for her mom, but she gives up when she’s the one who ends up all wet. She then tries to be kind by reading to her little brother, but he has plans of his own, which include a splash of cereal right in Sophie’s face! When Sophie is ready to quit once again, it’s up to Gabby to encourage her to keep trying and to teach her what the Bible says about perseverance: “We must not become tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9 NCV)

MY REVIEW:
This is one of the sweetest and cutest children's books I've read in a long time. The story is really cute but has a wonderful message for children about sticking to things and not leaving things undone or half finished. The Scripture for this book is Galatians 6:9 (ICB), "We must not become tired of doing good. We will receive our harvest of eternal life at the right time. We must not give up!" It's a wonderful theme for children of all ages and even us adults!
I loved the little angel, Gabby, in the book who is so overworked (I wonder if all our angels feel this way? lol) and exhausted from taking care of little Sophie. Sophie is a sweet child, but she tends to leave things undone and makes more work for those around her. Gabby helps Sophie to see that she needs to finish things and be a help to her parents by whispering Galations 6:9 into her ear. It's wonderful to see Sophie go from an irresponsible little girl to a helpful girl by applying God's Word to her life.
I love wonderful artwork in children's book and this book doesn't disappoint. This book is illustrated by Natasha Kuricheva and it's just so appealing and sweet! I love the glitter on the front cover! The colors are appealing and the drawings just precious as they can be! It's just fun to look at the pictures.
I highly recommend this book. It's a definite must for your child's or grandchild's bookshelf.
