Counting Our Blessings - Link Up!

I love focusing on my blessings. I'll be honest and tell you that I've had some days where thinking about my blessings was the last thing on my list. I have days where I struggle with feeling down because of situations around me and with my own body that struggles with pain. When I do finally peep my head up and decide to think of my blessings, it brings about a lightness and brings my focus away from my circumstances to the Lord, who has me covered with His wings of shelter.

Let's get to counting!

86. Precious time spent in my studio. I haven't been able to go out there too much lately as I've been nursing a swollen, painful knee (I'm getting close to knee shot time and this happens every 6 months) but the days I was able to go, just blessed me to no end. I'm working on Christmas projects and also finished painting something for my kitchen. I'm thankful for my studio time!

87. I'm thankful for the roof over my head. As I see what's happened to the people of New Jersey and that whole area, I see that I am blessed to have a home. My heart goes out to those people who are still suffering after that horrible hurricane that wiped so many areas out. Please continue to pray for them!

88. I'm thankful for my latest exciting project I'm working on. Art journaling! Have you seen this magazine?
This particular issue has quite a few journals that are faith journals, which is really neat. I love the whole idea of art journaling and have started working on one myself. Click on the picture to go to the website for this magazine. You'll be so inspired!

89.  I was able to share the Gospel the other night with a player of my online game who was in despair. I told him that only through Jesus could he have peace. Through Jesus, he could have hope for a future and know that he would be with Jesus when he died. I'm happy to share that he did commit his life to the Lord and actually went to church this Sunday! Praise God! What a total blessing to be able to share the truth of the Lord and what a blessing for this man who now has hope and joy in his life! It's true that we can share the Lord in a lot of circumstances - even an online game.

90. I was so blessed at the Christmas potluck my church had for the ladies ministry. It was a very sweet time of fellowship and the teaching my pastor's wife did, was so timely for me. I was also blessed that a new friend that I met through my Bible study sat with me. She purposely made sure to sit at my table and I can't tell you how much that touched me and just blessed me. Her daughter sat at another table, and she could have easily gone to sit with her daughter, but she made sure she sat with me. My heart is still so touched by this. What a blessing friends - new and old - are.

Now it's your turn! Share your own blessings here on the linky!

Blessings - Julie

  1. What a great opportunity to share your faith! I love the verse in 1 Peter that reminds us to "be ready always to give a reason for the hope that lies within you." You certainly did that for your game buddy. Keep up the good work! Visiting from Be Not Weary today and glad I did. :)
