Book Review - Discover Together Bible Studies

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Women need Bible study to keep balanced, focused and Christ-centered in their busy worlds. However, many find it difficult to set aside the time and discipline needed for an in-depth study. The Discover Together studies offer tiered questions to allow readers to choose a depth of study that fits with their individual lifestyles or schedules, even if they vary by the week, month or season

This insightful Bible study uses the example of Paul's church in Ephesus to show readers how they can be victorious Christians, living in God's Word, and free from sin. Part of the discovery series, the Ephesians edition includes tips for either individual or group use, inspirational sidebars and short, 3-5 minute teaching videos. Scan the video QR code in the book with a smart phone or visit the series website to watch Sue provide historical and cultural background, teach important truths found in each week's lesson, or ask thoughtful questions to encourage deeper discussion

MY REVIEW:
I read and did the Revelation and Ephesians studies. My first impression of these studies was how really pretty they are. The pages have beautiful flowers and birds printed on the pages and the colors are just very pleasing. I like that the books are geared toward women visually.

These studies are really good. I like a Bible study that allows me to get deeper into God's Word and really pull out everything that the Lord is teaching. These studies do that. This is not one of those "fill in the blank studies" but studies that goes in-depth into the book of study (Revelation & Ephesians). I really liked that I had to dig deep to answer the questions and yet they weren't so difficult as to be off-putting.

For those of us that like to learn even more, the author actually has "Digging Deeper" Scriptures to help us understand the passage of the Bible that we're studying, thus tying the whole Bible together and helping us understand the Word of God even more. She also has information on the sides of the page to help us understand through commentary. I really liked this as it just helped me to process what I was learning. There are also Scriptures to memorize, if you so wish, that goes along with what you're learning.

The author also has a Facebook group where you can join others in this study. I really like this because everyone shares what they are learning from the study and there is a lot of insight that I hadn't thought of. It's like being in a Bible study, yet you aren't leaving the comfort of your home, but you still have that wonderful fellowship of a group Bible study.  Sue also has videos on there that you can watch to get more information and understanding. I just think this is really great - especially for those who aren't able to leave their homes to join a group Bible study. Women in pain or illness can join this group and have the fellowship and help the wouldn't have by doing the study by itself.

I highly recommend these studies. I enjoyed them so much and learned a tremendous amount about the book of Revelation and Ephesians. They are beautiful studies both visually and in content.
