I've had a busy week, plus it's been an emotional week of sorts as I have been hurting over a friend who is hurting. She's much better now, but she's such a dear friend and I hated to see her so hurt over a situation that should have never come about the way it did. However, it's all part of God's plan how He grows us and puts us where He wants us. Growth can be painful but it's a total blessing in the end!
I wanted to share the pictures from my younger son's birthday. We had such a nice day that day!
Here's his birthday tart. Isn't that beautiful? He really likes having this over cake, so we always get him this from Safeway.
Here is my son with his tart.
My son loves sports so all of his gifts, except for the DVD set was about sports. The picture is of Wrigley Field in the old days and it's so neat. He loved it when he saw it and I was so glad to be able to get it for him! The DVD set is of an old 1980's series called, "Homicide". He got hooked on it while watching it online and wanted to own his own set. I'm just thankful we found one! lol
I admire my son so much. He lives in daily pain and yet he does all his college work (huge, huge load this semester in accounting) and doesn't complain. He loves the Lord and doesn't blame the Lord for the pain he lives in. I pray every day for healing for him because it breaks my heart that he is so young and in so much pain. I'm just thankful that he has Jesus that he can hold on to and that he knows he's not alone. God is good - all the time!
God bless you - Julie

Yes, Julie, your last statement is so right. I am sorry to hear that your son also is in daily pain. Happy Birthday to him. =)
