Counting Our Blessings - Link Up!

It helps me, so much, to do this every week. Some days it's easier to look at our blessings and some days it isn't, but sitting down and doing this, helps me to re-focus on the Lord and all He does for me. It's a definite attitude changer and I'm always so glad that I do this. I don't always get link-ups, but that's okay. I would do this anyway because it's such a blessing to me.

So without further ado, here are my blessings for this week:

91.  I needed a lamp for my studio next to my sewing machine and I found the perfect one! I had thought I wanted another hanging lamp over the area, but when I saw this, I knew it was me! I just love it and it was 66% off! Woo-Hoo!

It has a 3-way bulb, so it will give off lots of light for my sewing and quilting. I love that I can be all "foo-foo" in my studio. This is not something I would have in my home, but it's perfect for the studio. :)

92.  We were blessed by our church on Friday night. They had a leadership BBQ for all those who serve in a leadership role as a way to thank us. It was so lovely! We sat outside and they had a really nice meal. We sat with friends and just chatted and enjoyed each other. We brought our families, too, because the church knows that our families sacrifice, too, when we lead. Then they had a giveaway and we won a movie! It was just a fun evening filled will good food, fun, and fellowship and I felt so blessed!

93.  Our poodle got groomed this week and I usually send her to the same girl in the grooming shop, however, she was booked out weeks in advance, and Cookie needed to be done, so I agreed to let someone else groom her. It turned out to be a huge blessing! We loved how she trimmed her and we will more than likely have her do our doggies in the future. I have always been afraid to change groomers once I find one I like, but sometimes, change can be a blessing!

94.  Somehow a wasp (or two or three...) built a nest in the front of my air conditioning unit in my studio. I went to turn it on and knew something weird was going on. Long story short, my oldest son took the front off, got rid of the wasp nests (they were huge!) and then got a stiff brush and cleaned everything out. It works perfectly now and what a blessing to have this done for me!

95. My youngest son has cooked several times this week. He grilled out one day for us all and served us on the patio. Since it's summer, he's enjoying his grilling and we're enjoying eating it! What a blessing to have children that do know how to cook and don't mind doing it once in a while.

Now it's your turn! Share your own blessings on the inLinkz below (the blue button with the frog on it). This link will stay open for a whole week so feel free to share one thing or several things over this week.

  1. I'm glad to join this link up and share that I was blessed to have taken time off from work last week to join my husband in an out-of-town respite. It was a blessing to relax and do some crochet work which I've shared here--- the curlicue roses. Thanks, Julie!

  3. Linking up after you over at A Wise Woman Builds Her Home. I enjoyed reading your post. It is so good to count our blessings.

I think while I am here I will allow myself to get sidetracked and linkup. Maybe you'd like to stop over to my blog and linkup too?

  5. Hi,
Thanks for linking at Can I Joy Dare You? we are finding more and more people who are blogging about counting the gifts. Isn't that wonderful?
I love your list - particularly the lamp for sewing - I might need a new one as my room is very dark and the best time to sew is during the day.
    Many blessings,
