This Bible is so inspiring with Brennan Manning's devotions and thoughts scattered throughout. I knew that I had enjoyed his book, "Ragamuffin Gospel" so when I saw this Bible, I knew it would be wonderful and I was right!
I love the devotions that have suggested reading Scriptures with them. It just makes them so much more powerful when they are partnered with Scripture. It helped me to understand the Scriptures because of Mr. Manning's down-to-earth explanations and thoughts.
There are also thoughts and reflections scattered throughout the Bible that really inspired and reminded me of who God and Jesus are in my life. I was so touched by them and they blessed me and brought me closer in my walk with the Lord.
The NIV translation is so easy to understand and will help those who are new to Bible reading to understand what they are reading. It's also a wonderful translation for those of us who have been reading the Bible for years. It's written in every day English that makes for easy understanding and pleasant reading.
