Book Review - 9 Traits of a Life Giving Mom

9 Traits of a Life-Giving Mom: Replacing my Worst with God’s Best is written by a mom for moms. Sue admits that she, like most moms, has moments where her own unresolved issues come to the surface. Discover how to embody the fruit of the Holy Spirit in your own life and home.

Sue Detweiler's experience in marriage, motherhood, and ministry exemplifies the life of a woman who has embraced her call and is fully alive to all that God has created her to be. Find out more about Sue on her website HERE

This book is for any Mom feeling overwhelmed with everything and allowing it to affect her relationship with her children

Sue shares so openly about her own relationships with her children when they were younger. Her feelings of exhaustion and then snapping at her children because of it. I really could relate so much to those feelings when my children were very young and I hadn't found a way to react differently. I love how she shares her journey from a broken, overwhelmed young mom to a woman who put God first and allowed that love to trickle down to her children. She shares her mistakes and her victories and I just loved that about this book.

I also really enjoyed watching the videos at the end of each chapter. You can actually scan the book with your smart phone or tablet and watch or she has the videos on her website. I loved this as it really made me feel like I was getting more teaching and input.

I love the prayers she has in the book and have actually copied some of them into my own journal so I can refer to them as I sit to have my quiet time with the Lord. Even though my children are grown, I gained so much wisdom from this book for all areas of my life and was totally blessed by it!

This is a great book for individual reading or for a group study. Her book is full of Biblical wisdom and I highly recommend this book and give it 5 out of 5 stars!
