Book Review - I Choose You Today

ABOUT THE BOOK:

How would your marriage change if you and your husband made the spoken declaration "I choose you" every day? Even when "for better or worse" is disappointing, we need to remind ourselves that love is a choice. And it's God's grace that makes that choice possible.
I Choose You Today offers 31 practical ways you can make love last, by choosing to:
*    Pursue your spouse
*    Challenge one another
*    Listen mindfully
*    Love fiercely
*    And twenty-seven other opportunities to choose wisely.
Deb DeArmond offers inspirational stories, conventional wisdom, and thought-provoking questions to help you explore your choices and commitments to each other . . . every day of your marriage.

MY REVIEW:

This book is done in a devotional style, with a story about the author's relationship with her husband or of someone else she knew. Each story pulls you in as you can relate to most of the situations if you've been married for any length of time. That's what I found great about this book - it was honest yet helpful. I liked the break-down of subjects, too, as you could look up an area that you really want to focus on.

At the end of each chapter, there are questions and ideas for making your marriage better in that area.  There are simple suggestions such as sending your spouse a text to remind them that you care. How easy and yet it would definitely impact your relationship in a great way.

This book is perfect for the about to be married as well as those of us who have been married over 30 years. It's perfect for any married couple who want to make their marriage more loving. I really found a lot of great information in this book!
