47. I purchased the cutest thing from my friend Annette! I had been talking about wanting a Midori for awhile and asked her about one she made. I had wonderful intentions of making one, but I never seem to feel good enough to do so. Annette made this adorable one and wanted to know if I'd like it. I did!
Isn't it beautiful? I love the pink fabric and the sweet pen holder.
She tucked this sweet tag in my package and I just love it. It's so beautiful!
Look at this folder! Isn't it just so cute? I love the coffee cup clips and the darling stickers. Annette went to so much work to make this so special!
Here's the adorable booklets inside! So darling! I'm thinking I'm going to use this as my faith journal for sure. Maybe the other booklet will be my idea journal. I haven't decided yet. The possibilities are endless!
I added the sweet little ladybug charm and the cute pen that matches. I found the pen at the Dollar Tree and couldn't believe how wonderfully it matched! Can you tell I'm totally blessed by my new Midori? I'm equally blessed by Annette and her thoughtfulness in making this and offering it to me!
48. I have accomplished some major doctor things this month. As you know, I had the bypass in my leg checked by ultrasound and it came back good. After that, I saw a new GI doctor whom I like very much. I have had some bad experiences with GI doctors and was so nervous. However, my GP said this man was very nice and he was right. He really listened to me and took my concerns seriously. I had a colonscopy today (Monday) and got that horrid thing done. It's not the colonoscopy that is so horrible, it's the prep (bleah) and the IV once I get to the hospital. The prep stuff is so horrible. I can't even describe the horridness (is this a word? If not, it should be!) of it. It's a gallon of the most vile stuff you can imagine. Once at the hospital, one of the nurses could not get an IV in for anything. So painful. She brought another nurse in who put one in the backside of my wrist. Oh my...how do they think of these tortures? Anyway, I got through it and it's all done and I can move forward. I'll get the biopsy results in a few days and I'm hopeful that all is okay. It's a blessing to get this stuff behind us!
49. Speaking of which, my hubby had a blockage in one of the major veins in his leg. He went to my surgeon who did my bypass and he recommended doing the dye test and perhaps a stent. He had that done today (Monday) also and I just talked with him and he was doing very well. My oldest son took him and is with him. I'm so thankful that we have this doctor and that he could help my husband. It's so scary when these things happen but I'm so glad he's okay!
50. Counting our blessings wouldn't be complete without some Mitzi! She blesses me so much every day. Since she has learned to bark, she is so vocal. If I talk to her, she talks back. It's just adorable. She uses different vocalizations and everything. It really is as if she can talk! lol
Here she is in her bed ready to go to sleep.
Do you see little Lamb Chop peeping out from behind her? :)
Here she is with Lamb Chop up close. She always makes sure she has little Lammie in bed with her. When she gets up, she grabs Lamb Chop for the day. She just blesses me so much - that sweet girl!
Please join me in counting your blessings! Link up on the linky and share what you're blessed by. Or share your blessings in the comments. God is so good and it's so wonderful to give Him praises!
Blessings - Julie
I am glad you have that business behind you. Be well my friend. I read on your tweets that Elisabeth Elliot has died. Thank you for letting me know. I used to listen to her programs on the radio every day for years. Now that woman was a blessing!
