MY REVIEW:
I love this book!! It's such a beautiful story and emphasizes the true meaning of Christmas and being Christians in the world.
The story is about Sam and his family. They are getting ready for the Christmas season and Sam notices a very shiny silver box on their mantle. He asks his mom what it is? She tells him it's a special gift but they will have to fill it.
The story revolves around this box and what it really means is revealed at the end of the story. I really don't want to share anything else in the story otherwise it will give away the whole story. Suffice to say, you'll be shedding happy tears by the end of the story.
I loved the illustrations! They are just gorgeous and really pull you into the story. They are very reminiscent of the story books from when I was young in their soft coloring and edges. Just amazing! They really do add to the beauty of this story.
At the end of the book, you'll find tucked away on the back cover your own sparkle box! This was such a great bonus and your child (and you!) will love having your own box. I know I was very excited to find this and I intend to use it every year!
This really is a must have book. It's a wonderful book emphasizing the what Christmas should be all about for all of us. I absolutely loved this book and you and your child will, too! I give this book 5 out of 5 stars.
