MY REVIEW:
Holley Gerth's writing first came to my attention when I was going through all my health issues and surgeries. She is an amazing writer and woman of God who conveys on the printed page things from God's Word that bless and comfort like no other. This Bible study does the same.
This Bible study is to be used with her book, "You're Already Amazing", however, it is not absolutely necessary. This study has everything you need in it. Having said this, though, I do highly recommend that you have both the book and the DVD that goes with this study. I found it to just give me even more in-depth understanding and help.
I really loved this study because she shows us how God makes us uniquely us! He gives each of us talents and skills that He wants us to use for His glory. We don't have to be like someone else because it's not what God wants from us.
My favorite chapter (session) was 4 because it's here that she talks about relationships with others. She has a chart of safe behavior/unsafe behavior that I found extremely helpful because that's an area that I struggle with. Finding people who are true friends and not who I want them to be. Of course, the whole book is like this. Charts to help us figure out who we are, how to figure out what God wants us to do and more. It's just an amazing book from start to finish!
It would be an absolutely wonderful book to do in a Women's Bible study or as a small group study. I think it really speaks to the woman's heart who never feels like she is enough just as she is. This book dispels that destructive behavior and you will feel so much peace and comfort in who God made you.
I highly, highly recommend this Bible study! It was one of the best I've done and I intend to go through and complete it again. It's just that good.
