A meddling horse, paper bag floors and a flying saucer on the town square. The little town of Mars has it all---including a brand new resident who might spell heartache for one of its own.
Twenty-something Penn Davenport yearns for an exciting life in the big city and wants to shed the label of orphan that she's worn for years. To achieve that dream, she must pass the CPA exam then move away from the two aunts who reared her after her parents died in a plane crash.
When John Townsend---full of life and the joy of living---moves to town, he rattles Penn's view of herself, her life, and her dreams . . . which isn't such a bad thing until she falls for him and discovers he's a pilot.

This is the perfect cozy little book for curling up with! It's such a cute story with wonderful characters and the perfect amount of romance and humor.
Penn has been horribly hurt in her life. She lost her parents when she was young and she was raised by her sweet, loving, funny aunts, Jancie and Winnie. Then when she was in high school, her one and only date ended up horribly and she has sworn off getting involved, and therefore, hurt ever again. It makes for a lonely existence, but she would rather be lonely than hurt. Her aunts have different ideas and when John comes into town, they are determined to get Penn together with him.
John is a very nice man. He's a man who rides a motorcycle, gets involved in the community, and is fixing up a house when he's never done anything like it before. He's basically just the opposite of Penn and, of course, opposites attract.
Penn wants to just focus on getting her CPA license and moving to the big city. She has so much hurt in her that keeps her stuck but it's fun seeing how life doesn't always work out the way we think it should.
My favorite characters have to be the aunts, Jancie and Winnie! I love how they love Penn and want her to be happy. I think it's so sweet how they love on others with their cooking. What's great for us is that the author put a bunch of recipes in the back of the book that look delicious and I can't wait to try!
This is such a fun, sweet story. I really loved it and it was such a nice relaxing read that pulled you in and kept me wanting to read and find out if true love will win out.
