Down but not out

Hello, my dear friends:

I just wanted to let you know that I am indeed still kicking (okay, may not so much-see below) and that I haven't forgotten about you or my blog. I think about you all the time and keep you in my prayers.

I have been rather laid up the past 10 days. Its that time again, for my bi-annual knee shots and for some reason, I've had a lot of pain with them this time. I have a series of 3 shots, one week apart, so next week, I'll have my third and final shot until sometime in July. I just know I'm not having pain because I've tried to do stuff around the house. . .oh, no, that couldn't be it at all. Finally, after actually waking up from pain this morning, I'm realizing that I HAVE to stay off my knees until the shots have settled in and I can walk again. I'll probably be having to do this at least through next week, but then it will be better. This is hard for me to do, but I must! So, today I sat in my wonderful recliner with good books around me, including the Bible, a couple of books I'm reading for review (the one I am reading today is WONDERFUL-more on that next Monday) and spent time with my youngest son, who is also laid up in his recliner. *sigh* We're a pair - my son and I.

Speaking of my son, we are still waiting on the authorization for him to get his MRI, but he did get an x-ray of his hip this week to make sure he didn't break or crack the pelvic bone/hip area. We'll know more on that Monday. I feel so bad for him - he's in so much pain. I'm praying that we will get some knowledge soon as to what this is and/or that the Lord would heal him. Please keep Cody in prayer if you think of him! Thank you. :)

As for me, I'm totally blessed by the greatest hubby in the whole world - he's been taking wonderful care of me. He even made me a cup of coffee this morning in the Keurig, which he's never done, but did beautifully! He went grocery shopping for me yesterday and got a roast and we put it in the oven together and then had a wonderful meal last evening. He picked out the best roast we've had in a long time, and silly me, I forgot to look at the label to see what kind it was! Oh, well. Maybe he can figure it out when we go back to the store again. Tomorrow, he is making us BLT's for dinner! Tell me, is any lady out there more pampered and spoiled than me? I don't think so!!

I'm off to bed. I was just thinking of you all and wanted to at least check in with you!

God bless you all and have a wonderful and blessed weekend!

God bless you - Julie
