Book Review - As Silver Refined

As Silver Refined by Kay Arthur

Are you feeling like your life hasn't turned out like you planned?  Are you struggling with changes that have come into your life and turned your life upside down?  This book will definitely bring you hope and show you how God is working through all these things.

One of the things I liked about this book was the study at the back of the book for each chapter.  There are Scriptures that Mrs. Arthur takes you through in the study to help you understand how the Lord is with you during these situations.  It really is comforting to go through the study and realize how God really is with us during these times of our lives that are disappointing or just down-right hard.

Some of the chapters in this book are "Present Failures, Past Regrets", "Transformed Under His Control", and one of my personal favorites, "Facing the Pain".  Each chapter in the book leaves you feeling hopeful and at peace.  It also made me realize that I'm not the only one who has and is going through situations that definitely weren't part of my plan.

I have always enjoyed Kay Arthur's teaching and her books.  However, this book actually shines way above the others for me because it really was relevant for me at this time in my life.  The greatest thing about it, though, was the clear hope and help that she gives through God's Word.  I highly, highly recommend this book!
