MY REVIEW:
I couldn't wait for this second book of the "Grand Tour" series to come out! I loved the first book, "Glamorous Illusions" and thought about and wondered about the characters the whole time while waiting. This book does not disappoint!!
This time we have the addition of a mysterious man to the group. Normally, the bear (grand tour guide) would not allow an addition to his already formed group, however, this man has connections that allow the group to see more than they would normally, so he is allowed to join them. He takes endless photographs of the group and I kept wondering what he was really doing with them. I had my suspicions, and so will you, as to his real reason for being with them.
There is still the threat of kidnapping hanging over the groups head because of who they are and their fathers' wealth. There are dangerous excursions that will leave you breathlesss as we wonder at their fate.
The romance is as tangled as a spider's web. Cora is in love with penniless Will, which wouldn't be a problem if she weren't a Kensington. She is also being courted by a prince charming named Pierre. Then there is her half-sister, Vivian, who starts to wonder at her own romance with Andrew. Just the romance stories alone will keep you wondering what will happen next.
I love how the author describes the various places they visit and makes you feel like you're along with the group. Just a beautiful story full of twists that make you want to turn the pages!
I loved this book! I just couldn't put it down and read it in one setting on a snowy day. I love that it made me care about the characters and wonder at what will happen next. I highly recommend it - it's an excellent read!
