Counting Our Blessings - Link Up!

It's been a bit of a rough week here. My mother fell on Friday and broke her hip. My Dad was gone and so she laid on the ground for a good hour before he got home. Thankfully, she had successful surgery on Saturday by the same surgeon who operated on her broken leg a couple years back. I know this was something she was always afraid of and she is in a lot of pain. Please keep her in your prayers. My son and I have also been having a lot of pain and it was a difficult week for us both. It's so hard to focus on things when you're in pain so not a lot got done here. However, God is still good and there are still blessings to count!

56. It's a blessing that my Mother didn't go into shock and that she came through the surgery well. She is in her 80's so she's not a young woman anymore.

57. I'm so thankful to my oldest son for, once again, moving my bedroom furniture around. I needed to have my chair away from the door because if I have to sleep in my chair (which is happening more these days), then I hear everything going on in the house. He graciously moved my desk and chair from one side to the other and helped me pick up. I'm so blessed as it's been so much better now when I'm sleeping in my recliner.

58. It's a blessing to be studying my Bible and getting to know the Lord even better. I've said through this study of Genesis that I'm learning about the Lord and about Jesus in ways I haven't before.

59. I'm so thankful and blessed by my readers of this blog. I get such sweet comments and they truly brighten my day. I've made some sweet friends and I'm very thankful for each and every one of you!

60. I'm a huge baseball fan so I was so blessed this last week to have the MLB channels preview. I had fun watching my favorite teams - one game after another! I wish I could afford to have those channels, but they are too much for our tight budget! I truly enjoyed my free week of all-day baseball, though!

Now it's your turn...share you own blessings by linking up on the linky below. You can even grab a button from the sidebar!

God bless you - Julie

  1. So sorry to hear what happened to your family. Praying you'll see more and more of His blessings in every circumstance. May God continue to embrace you with comfort amid the pain. I, too, am blessed that my asthmatic attack has lessened as the climate has changed. The shawl I wear inside my blazer at work seemed to help a lot.

Linking up again this week. Thank you!
