Counting Our Blessings - Link Up!

Hello dear readers and gentle friends - I'm still exhausted but still healing. My little wounds are still there and I'm still nursing them along, but they are looking better and I'm hoping that I will be able to stop bandaging them in about a week or so. I'm very conscientious about not having any more problems with these incisions/wounds so I'll probably end up keeping them bandaged longer than need be, but that's okay! I just want to heal!!

Let's get started on counting our blessings:

4.  I'm still working on my art journal. I am behind on the prompts, but that's okay. I'm not stressing out about this and working on it as I can. The prompt for these pages was to use gesso. There was also a quote that they had for the week, but I didn't care for the quote so used a favorite Scripture instead.

I used watercolors, water soluble crayons, gesso and a marker for the lettering. I had great fun with this one and will start working on the next page as I get the energy.

5.  I went to the thrift store with my sons a few days ago and had a great time. I'm always on the look out for anything poodle related. I collect poodles and I also collect Boyd's Bears (the figurines and stuffed ones) so I really hit the jackpot that day. Look what I found

Isn't it adorable? I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw it. I didn't know that Boyd's Bears made poodles so it was such a sweet surprise. I had such a fun day with my boys and this was just the cherry on top.

6.  My youngest son came home the other day and gave me this.

Isn't it beautiful? I love anything by Marjolein Bastin and this just touched my heart so much! I thought it was so sweet that my son thought of me and cheered me up with something I love so much - the cross. I already have it hanging on my wall where I can see it every day. My son is such a special blessing!!

Blessings - Julie
