There are times when worship overflows easily and effortlessly from a heart full of gratitude and praise. Yet, there are other times when God seems far and we feel we have nothing left to offer. We are tired, or thirsty, or imprisoned in our own chains through our own devices, or caught in the waves of a tumultuous sea. This is when God shows us His steadfast love.
He wraps His eternally powerful, ultimately creative, nail-scarred hands around our hearts and squeezes with appropriate might—yielding an honest plea for Him to save us and deliver us from our circumstances, fears, and self control. And He does. He initiates with His steadfast love, and responds with the same.
Walk with Lauren as she shares what she has learned of the steadfast love of the Lord.
MY REVIEW:
What an absolutely lovely book!! It looks beautiful and the words that Lauren shares with us are beautiful. The first thing I noticed was the gorgeous pages of cream and the blue font. It made reading very easy on the eyes and the look so pleasing.
What Lauren shares is from her heart and, with such honesty, really touched my heart. She emphasizes Psalms 107 and digs deep into the Scriptures throughout. She emphasizes that our true anchor is found in the Lord and that we need to set aside the false anchors that we want to replace Him with.
Even through the pain and sufferings of our life, Lauren shares how God's love for us is steadfast and unfailing. Through her own personal stories and Scripture she shares how God is faithful through it all.
I really loved this book and gained so much strength through it. It was a great reminder of how much God cares for us and how He is there with us through all things. I loved that she kept it very Biblical and also made it very easy and enjoyable to read. It really touched my heart and my life. I highly recommend it!
