Review - The Restoration Series: Jonathan's Walk

For years, Jonathan has been in prison. As a result, he has missed milestone moments with his family. He wasn’t there for his daughter’s first day of school or a thousand little experiences with his wife and as a father, he is devastated to be separated from those he loves most.

Jonathan has been looking forward to his release from prison for over a decade. So many life events have been missed and he is now ready to be with his wife and kids again. Of course, this transition isn't going to be easy. The odds are against him: with over half of prisoners returning to prison within two years, Jonathan is aware of the challenge set before him.
Still, he is determined to take the skills he has learned into the world outside of incarceration and stay there, helping build the community that he is part of for years to come.

MY THOUGHTS:

One of the most rewarding things I have ever done is being part of a women's prison ministry. To see Christ touch the hearts of hurting people is amazing and seeing them change because of God is truly a miracle. I have seen what God can do for those who need Him most.

This documentary allows us to see the changes that come to those who give their life to Him. It also allows us to experience how hard it is for the families left behind while their loved one serves their sentence behind bars.

Here is the trailer for the series so you can see what it's all about:

I was truly touched and inspired by this story of Jonathan and his family. We see the heartache that they all go through as they are separated. Jonathan misses out on important family milestones and just the day to day living with his family. I was especially touched by the grace that his wife has as she navigates through life without her husband by her side.

I highly recommend you watch this series which is available to see in full HERE This is a profound documentary that will touch your life!

  1. How very interesting. My cousin Owen has been in prison since he was 18.He has been in twenty 21 years. He has a little over 8 to go. I have been writing to him for many years. He writes to me every once in a great while. It is rare. He is very depressed.
