His Will - Not Mine

This is how I'm feeling today. The end of all things is at hand. Truly. Or it's like one of my friends said on her blog - "I'm an illegal alien - my citizenship is elsewhere." I know this is a two fold statement for me today. However, I'm holding on to the fact that I know what it really means - that my citizenship is in heaven, not here. All I can say is - "Thank, God!"

I'm not going to get into a lot of political statements here because I surely do not want all the crazies to come out of the woodwork and make their weirdo comments on my blog. Suffice to say that this is a sad day for me. I'm stunned and I'm scared. I'm praying for our country like never before. Because I love America, I'm going to stand beside her and pray that the Lord will bring our new President-elect and his family a true relationship with Jesus Christ. I will pray for what everyone gives lip-service to - unity. However, not unity as a country, but unity as a body of Christ. Prayer for a true revival in this country - to turn to God - to believe in God - to have a true and lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. That is what I can do for my country and that truly is the best.

In the meantime, I'm going to hold fast to this scripture God is in control. His plans are not my plans. His will is not my will. For that, I'm eternally grateful.

God bless you and God bless America ~ Julie
